You don't just want to keep your building secure; you want to keep your data safe as well. You will want to make sure that you use software that will help keep all the information stored in the access control system, such as personal user details and passwords, secure. You should also limit who has access to the main system and software to control everything.

Third, you need to be selective with access. Don't just give out access because you can.
